SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SHARING

  • The Yoga Institute will be capturing pictures of various classes, sessions, and activities along with the teachers-students present at those times. This is for our various publications (print and electronic media).
  • We respect each person’s privacy and hence if anyone has any objection to be captured in the frame, please feel free to step aside/outside of the camera frame and inform their respective coordinators.

Payment

  • Once you make the transfer please send us the payment receipt of your transaction amount for confirmation of your payment – thanks to this small help, we will keep track of your payment
  • If you cannot pay via bank transfer, we can send a payment link to your email address. For further details please contact us.
  • To book your seat either in our Yoga Teacher Training program or short-term retreat program, the fee has to be paid. Please note that we book the seats according to the chronology of the payment (“first come first served”),
  • All the transaction fees shall be covered by the student/applicant – it refers to the fees taken by PayPal, Western Union, bank, etc.
  • We will accept reserving your seat to another date only due to unavoidable reasons, the paid amount can be adjusted/used in any future course you do with us within one year from the date of booking.

Cancellation Policy

  • The course fee including any initial deposit is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to cancel the course due to unavoidable reasons the booking amount can be adjusted/ used for any future course that you do with us within one year from the date of booking. To reschedule your course, you must inform us at least two weeks before your course start date otherwise you may lose your entire fee.
  • 100% Cancellation Charges or no refund in case of Cancellation or No-Show.
  • The Yoga Institute is not responsible for any mishaps before the course schedule.
  • The Yoga Institute reserves the right to cancel any booking that they feel necessary.
  • In case of cancellation of course by The Yoga Institute before the beginning of the course, the student will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid
  • The Yoga Institute is not liable for any expenses the student may have occurred including the travel expenses (e.g. flight and train tickets) even in case of a Training cancellation either by the participant or The Yoga Institute.
  • Payment of fee implies consent to all the information, rules, regulations, terms and conditions of The Yoga Institute.
  • The student is free to leave the course at any time. In this eventuality there will not be any refund and readmission will not be agreed.

Etiquette

  • Positive energy and attitude: remember that your energy affects other people around you.  Please try to keep a positive and happy attitude during your training.
  • Please try to accept that studying and practicing in India will be different from western countries/cultures.  We appreciate your open mind and way of learning.
  • Respect the teacher and your fellow students, please practice as instructed by the teacher and do not practice your own series during class.
  • Do not argue or disagree with your teachers based on your past experiences. Be prepared to learn from our teachers with an open mind and new perspective, not comparing to past experiences.
  • We expect students to follow the Yamas and Niyamas (according to Patanjali) to the best of their ability.
  • Practice patience and kindness in the premises. Students/participants shall treat all (teachers, staff and volunteers of The Yoga Institute) with due respect and courtesy at all times.
  • Service of the staff/volunteers shall NOT be utilized for private or personal work.
  • Set times for silence must be observed.
  • No tips in cash or kind should be directly given to the staff/volunteers of the Institute. For this purpose, a box has been kept at the office for those who would like to appreciate the staff.
  • Usage of phones in the class is prohibited.
  • Observe silence during classes and especially during meals, wherein you integrate all you have absorbed during class.
  • Physical relationships with other students/staff is strictly prohibited.
  • Our schedule is subject to change.  We would appreciate your flexibility and willingness to adapt to any changes.
  • Clean up your space at the end of class. Pick up your mats and put in the designated areas as instructed by the teacher if not obvious.

Rules

  • Please treat everything in the room as your own. Any damage to the room or equipment shall be charged accordingly.
  • Students/participants are kindly requested to take care of their belongings. Management shall not be responsible for any loss.
  • Any damage to The Yoga Institute property/course material shall be charged accordingly.
  • Visitors of students/participants are allowed only between 10:30 am – 6:30 pm
  • No visitors are allowed in the room
  • The room/bed is non-transferable to anyone else.
  • Student/participant bears full material and legal responsibility for any loss, damages or destruction of furnishing/appliances / or any other property resulting from his/her fault or from the fault of his/her visitors.
  • Children have to be under constant care and supervision of adults. Damages or losses caused by children are the responsibility of their guardians.
  • No loud music is allowed on the premises.
  • Swimming pool rules are to be strictly followed. Management reserves the right to deny the use of the swimming pool without explanation.
  • Entry gates of the Institute will be closed after 10:00 pm daily. No person will be allowed to enter / exit after 10:00 pm. If anyone is found outside the campus after 10:00 pm, it will be considered as a violation of the Institute’s discipline and laws.
  • Students/participants have to enter details on the logbook while they enter/exit the Institute.
  • Being in possession or consuming non-vegetarian food/alcohol/tobacco (smoking/chewing) and use of illicit drugs is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the Institute premises.
  • Residential members are strictly not allowed to stay overnight outside the Institute.
  • All lights must be turned off by 10:30 pm latest.
  • No room service is provided.
  • Eating in class is prohibited.
  • In case of violations of the points mentioned above, management reserves the right to ask the person to leave the premises without entertaining any claim for refund.
  • We are not responsible for any activities conducted outside of our premises such as rafting and swimming in rivers, sightseeing tours, bird sanctuary trips, etc.

Code Of Conduct – Dress Code

  • Students/participants are required to be decently and appropriately dressed in the premises of The Yoga Institute. Tight body-hugging clothes, short tops, shorts, revealing clothes, tank tops, low cut shirts, short T-shirts, etc. are strictly prohibited inside the premises. Ideally, the dress code of students/participants are expected to be attired in trousers, track pants, sleeved T-shirts, shirts, salwar kameez, kurta pyjama.
  • In case any student/participant is inappropriately dressed, The Yoga Institute reserves its right to prohibit entry of such students/participants in its premises. The decision of the Institute in such case shall be final and binding on the students/participants.

Code Of Conduct – Attendance

  • All classes are mandatory.
  • Only in case of illness are you excused from class. Also, in this case, if you are capable you should at least come to class to observe and take notes
  • You are expected to be in class on time, if you are running 10 mins late according to the class time, you will not be permitted to join the class.
  • Repeatedly being late or missing classes without an excuse will be grounds for dismissal from the course.

Code Of Conduct – Meals

  • During your training, you will be provided simple but delicious sattvic food.
  • The menu consists of four simple vegetarian meals and is not up for discussion or exceptions (unless having allergies: please let us know in advance).
  • Yogic lifestyle is not demanding of a high-protein diet.  Enough protein is supplied by lentils and vegetables in our meals.
  • If you need to supplement your diet with extra foods, you may purchase nuts, vitamins, etc from local shops at your own expense.  We ask that you do not eat unhealthy/non-vegetarian foods.
  • Apart from the food served at the Institute, no outside food is allowed to be brought in the premises, except dry/fresh fruits.
  • Food shall be consumed in the designated dining area only.
  • Please avoid outside foods, for reasons of cleanliness and not knowing what type of energy the chef cooked with.

Evaluation And Certification

  • Your admission to this course does not guarantee a certificate. You will be evaluated by your teaching practicums, behaviour, progress, and full attendance.

General Health Condition

  • Any health-related advice and suggestions given at The Yoga Institute should not be used for diagnosing purposes or be substituted for medical advice.
  • Always consult your doctor or qualified health professional on any matters regarding your health. Consult your physician before changing your diet, starting an exercise (yoga) program.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the students/participants to consult a physician prior to and regarding their participation in the programmes offered by The Yoga Institute.
  • Students/participants are responsible for their own well-being during the class and are advised to practice at their own pace, understanding their limitations. Students/participants are required to inform their teacher if there have been any changes in their medical / health condition which might affect their participation.

Pregnant Students/Participants

  • Our classes, by default, are not suitable for pregnant students/participants, except the Pregnancy Camp. If any student/participant is pregnant and wishes to participate in any other programme they are necessarily required to discuss their options.

Indemnity

  • The Yoga Institute does not provide liability insurance for the protection of children, parents, visitors, or others who may participate in any of our programmes.
  • In consideration for their participation in any programme, the participants do hereby release and forever discharge The Yoga Institute and its directors, teachers, office bearers, and employees, jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands for, upon or by reason of any damage, loss or injury, which hereafter may be sustained by participating in any of our programmes. This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability and the consequences thereof, as well as those now disclosed and known to exist.

Reference And Course Material

  • Students/participants may be given handouts, notes and reading material during their participation in our programmes. These are for the personal use of the students/participants only and cannot be circulated, distributed, printed, exploited, exhibited, transmitted, reproduced, broadcasted, adapted or posted in any public domain. Any such use shall amount to infringement of copyright and shall be dealt with strictly.
  • Teaching material is the sole ownership of The Yoga Institute and will not be shared.
  • Students are not allowed to take photos or videos during classes.

No Refund Policy

  • The Yoga Institute has a NO-REFUND policy for all its programmes.

NOT WITHSTANDING ANYTHING WRITTEN EARLIER, THE RIGHT OF REJECTION OR, TERMINATION FROM THE COURSE, SOLELY RESTS WITH THE MANAGEMENT OF THE YOGA INSTITUTE.
